Test A/B

A/B testing

Your website project is online and you want to optimize it, in a continuous optimization process? A/B tests are the best method to explore new ergonomic paths, while securing your KPIs.

A/B tests

Why Test UX assumptions without impacting your KPIs

How By setting up a roadmap and a test solution

What Adjust your ergonomics by having tested beforehand

Why set up A/B tests

A progressive approach to enhance your user experience

  1. To build UX hypotheses before putting them live at 100% of your traffic
  2. To test graphical choices on a sample of visitors that you have segmented (recurrence ? geographical location ? etc …)
  3. To quickly take control of your interface without having to go through specific development or production
  4. To make decisions on reliable data
  5. To experiment on specific media (mobile, and/or tablet, and/or desktop)

How to set up A/B tests

A test roadmap to be defined, with a dedicated solution

Here is our UX methodology for setting up A/B tests:

  1. Collect data using a data collection tool (Analytics, Hotjar, Contentsquare …)
  2. Identify the objectives of the tests: improve navigation? account creation? lead generation? conversion?
  3. Generate hypotheses by exchanging with our customers, based on user data. This is done through design workshops, and the realization of wireframes.
  4. Create the variations to be implemented that will be brought to the device to be tested. These variations are done via the chosen A/B testing solution.
  5. Launch the experiment while distributing the traffic over a precise time interval.
  6. Analyze the results and refine the following tests, or put the selected hypothesis on the live website in a definitive way.

Example of A/B test deployed

For our customer Proxiserve with Kameleoon solution

We have been supporting the Proxiserve brand since 2013 in their online sales strategy, in various areas related to heating.

On the new Mon Chauffagiste Privé brand, we have tested different levers to increase conversion.

One feature that worked particularly well, thanks to the Kameleoon solution, is the implementation of a retention popin: this is displayed for customers who are about to leave the site.

They are presented with a popin with a promo code, which in the case of Mon Chauffagiste Privé, has increased conversion on a selection of products.

This retention behaviour was also deployed on the new Proxiserve site dedicated to electrical terminals in private homes.

Mon Chauffagiste Privé was awarded the TopCom Digital Consumer 2019 prize.
