Akeneo PIM Summit: Retrospective

The annual meeting of Akeneo took place on 17 and 18 January. Open only to partners and customers, the event was a real success and brought together more than 200 people from 14 countries. Silver partner of the French publisher, Kaliop had to be there. On the agenda: exclusive information, good times and of course many PIMs!

A year 2017 rich in innovation

Ziggy has grown well since her birth in 2013. It is simple. Since we’ve known each other for more than two years, the team has doubled.

In 2017, Akeneo entered new markets in the UK and Australia and expanded into Europe and the United States. But above all, it was the year of the launch of Akeneo 2.0, which we followed with great attention and which offers notable improvements in terms of user experience.

What’s new in 2018?

The big news of the event was of course the acquisition of Sigmento by Akeneo. The Israeli company has established itself since its creation in 2015 as a leading supplier of automated product referencing solutions, thanks to automatic learning algorithms. We immediately see the equation forming:”PIM + Data Intelligence + Automation = ROI” and we are looking forward to the results of the first collaborations.

Highly anticipated in roadmap 2018: the launch of PIM. ai, a machine learning tool to speed up the creation of product sheets, planned for Q2. We’ll let you know as soon as we can.
