The client's challenges

Improve equipment and infrastructure and their real-time management

SNCF Gares & Connexions' mission is to create an optimal experience for users and passengers, to make SNCF spaces real places to live. The subsidiary's missions are to operate, develop and transform stations while boosting the range of services and shops in stations. In this context, SNCF Gares & Connexions has chosen to make the Aix-en-Provence TGV station intelligent, by connecting the station's equipment and infrastructure to provide real-time information for remote control.

The solution

The objective

Connect existing equipment and control it from a digital platform

Thanks to the installation of remote sensors, the digital platform deployed for SNCF Gares & Connection provides information and alerts in real time, enabling technical teams to intervene as soon as a malfunction is identified.

The approach

A platform capable of collecting and processing heterogeneous data in real time

The Kuzzle IoT platform allows to control remotely and in real time the light zones of the station (turn on, turn off, adjust the light intensity). Then, other infrastructures have been connected to provide real-time alerts in case of equipment failure (elevators, air conditioning and heating systems, photovoltaic equipment, air quality).

The most

A model that can be transposed to any existing building that tends to the smart building

In the future, connected infrastructures, combined with intelligent analysis systems, could be capable of acting autonomously in order to optimize energy and resource expenditure or prevent material failures to trigger preventive maintenance actions.
