A highly mature trade fair:

All in all, the RBTE is a high-quality trade fair for innovative technologies in the retail sector.

Kaliop Digital Commerce presented 2 innovations in the form of POCs:

  1. A voice search system via google home with the sending of a selection of products by mail corresponding to voice search criteria
  2. A cross-device interaction system on a mock point of sale based on the Kuzzle backend.

Innovative digital solutions:

We had the pleasure of meeting partners offering beautiful solutions complementary to our business as experts in digital commerce:

  • Onestock: A made in France OMS allowing a unification of retail & web stocks. Already used by many beautiful brands, it is a solution to watch closely: https://www.onestock-retail.com/fr/
  • Soyooz: A powerful chatbox that enables the users’ needs to be identified and the product corresponding to their expectations to be offered via an intelligent question and answer system: http://www.soyooz.com
  • Checkout.com: A comprehensive payment service provider, covering many local and international payment methods: https://www.checkout.com

Retail innovations:

Beyond digital, we were able to discover original retail solutions:

Signage/display sector:

  • Userful offers video walls for video or daskboard/kpi controllable from an Iphone application: https://www.userful.com
  • Hypervsn wall offers videos with a 3D effect thanks to a technology based on “fans + led” to display content: https://kino-mo.com/
  • Inurface Media is a UK specialist in screen displays (on the street, on garbage trucks, on bollards in the street/store, McDonald’s display screens…): http://inurfacemedia.co.uk/

Mobility and in-store analysis:

  • SOTI, with its Mobicontrol solution, makes it possible to manage  a fleet of mobile devices at headquarters deployed around the world in stores (smartphones, screens, tablets…): http://www.soti.net/products/mobicontrol
This tool makes it possible to obtain usage statistics for each device, to be alerted when a device breaks down or suffers a shock (thanks to accelerometer sensors in particular) and to remotely control the devices, for example to launch an automatic deployment of a new application version (useful for vendor tablets, for instance).
  • Ultinous (http://www.ultinous.com) in-store video analysis that plugs into existing security cameras to analyse traffic within the store and produce statistics pushed hour by hour (age, sex, counting…), also optimising and preventing a flow of people in checkouts to fluidity in-store traffic – see video presentation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNakQGaEk2g

We would like to thank Business France and the French Tech delegation for the quality of this event, and hope to see you all next year!
